Album Design

A few nights ago I got an email from Nate Navarro the founder of Austin non-profit "Music for the City" reading; "Ty meet Matt. Matt meet Ty.

Ty, Mr. McCloskey is doing a cool art project for his album release

and is looking for a cool artist......I think yall should talk!"

I hit Matt up that minute and he shared his idea of using local Austin artists in a collaborative effort to go along with his new album release.  Matt's idea was brilliant, feature and Artist a day that coincides with a song available for free download.  Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.  Today features my piece along the the free download of the song " You've still got me." Here is the artwork, that when I return from the Veritas Road Tour V.2 will be painting on a 8x8 foot canvas.  Here is the link to Matt McCloskey's website and free downloads: www.listentomatt.com

Right this second..minute..moment

So with no job, cars exploding, empty apt and a new city awaiting my thoughts have been far and distant..for sure.  I recently finished my book and let go of it after 4 years of adding and taking away.  I sent it to a dear friend, an amazing poet, to edit as I await next.  As I feel long gone and temporary right now I have been listening to these bands.  They are the sounds grasping my attention.
