A few nights ago I got an email from Nate Navarro the founder of Austin non-profit "Music for the City" reading; "Ty meet Matt. Matt meet Ty.

Ty, Mr. McCloskey is doing a cool art project for his album release

and is looking for a cool artist......I think yall should talk!"

I hit Matt up that minute and he shared his idea of using local Austin artists in a collaborative effort to go along with his new album release.  Matt's idea was brilliant, feature and Artist a day that coincides with a song available for free download.  Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.  Today features my piece along the the free download of the song " You've still got me." Cloud Cult

So, I have a new band that not only has inspired me in many ways, but whom has also moved me by song and story.  You can read up about the story behind this creatively majestic band on your own.  I am going to give you some live performances to observe, if you are an artist buy all of their albums, support them and create to them.  My music library is quite extensive and broad, I like many genres and styles of sound and musical form, but there are only a handful of artists that really move me.  Cloud Cult is one of those artists that musically and lyrically reaches into your soul and stirs you.  They even have visual artists that are a part of the band, these artists paint on stage during Cloud Cult sets to the music.  I wish we had more artists who combined there efforts in creation these days.  Enjoy...
